Bo Jackson’s grand-nephew has three catches in Raiders preseason game

Football runs in the Jackson family.

After starring for the Los Angeles Raiders in the late 1980s, Bo Jackson remains a legend in team history. Now it’s his grand-nephew that is making plays for silver-and-black.

Shedrick Jackson is getting his chance with the Las Vegas Raiders during the preseason and shining bright thus far. He’s been a fixture at receiver, hauling in three receptions for 28 yards in Week 2 after posting four catches, 76 yards and a touchdown in Week 1.

Jackson signed as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2023.

He only played five games with the Bengals in 2023, primarily starring on special teams. After being released by Cincinnati in September, Jackson landed on the Raiders’ practice squad in December.

The receiver will look to secure a roster spot in Sin City and add to the family tree with the Raiders.

He was one more chance to shine as Vegas concludes the preseason against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, Aug. 23.
