When is the 2022 World Cup final? What to know for Argentina vs. France

The 2022 World Cup final is set, with Argentina and France set to square off on Sunday at Lusail Stadium in Qatar for soccer’s ultimate prize.

France is looking to become the first back-to-back winner since Brazil accomplished the feat in 1958 and 1962 and reached the final despite injuries to some of their top players, including Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté.

Argentina star Lionel Messi is one of the greatest players in soccer history and has won just about every award and trophy in the world – except for the World Cup. This is Messi’s fifth appearance in the tournament – likely his last – and helped his country reach the final in 2014, losing to Germany in extra time.
